Heather Sargent

Heather was called to the Bar in 2011 and practises primarily in planning and compulsory purchase, environmental and EU law. She’s ranked in both Chambers & Partners and the Legal 500 and is also listed as one of the top five planning juniors in the Planning Law Survey 2020.

In addition to running Planning Law Tea Break, Heather is an Assistant Editor of the Encyclopedia of Planning Law and Practice, for which she focuses on heritage matters.

Away from law, Heather can frequently be found at the theatre, escaping back to Wales to walk up a mountain, attempting to play the viola, or watching rugby (she used to play in the second row).
